Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks (Fort Lauderdale, FL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Avant Garde Academy Sharks (Hollywood, FL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks face the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 4. Archbishop McCarthy will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to NSU University (Fort Lauderdale, FL).

The Sharks now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oxbridge Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. Avant Garde Academy will face a ThunderWolves team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Pine Crest (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The ThunderWolves record now stands at 2-2.
