Georgia High School Basketball - Johnson can't hold off Southwest

November 30, 2024: Macon, GA 31206

Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), 51-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwest upgrades its record to 5-0 on the year. The Patriots host Washington County (Sandersville, GA) to face the Golden Hawks in a A D1 Region 2 match on Tuesday, December 3. The Golden Hawks enter the match with a record of 0-1. Washington County lost 79-65 in their recent non-league match against Hancock Central (Sparta, GA)

The Atomsmashers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long County for a AAA Region 3 match on Friday, December 6.
