The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) and the host La Conner Braves (LaConner, WA), observed Ferndale's basketball team overcome La Conner by a score of 60-42.
The Golden Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sehome (Bellingham, WA). The Mariners come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Braves battle the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 2. La Conner will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
