New Life Christian Academy Monarchs (Fayetteville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Virginia Prep Sports Academy Cardinals (Lynchburg, VA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Life Christian Academy upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Northwood Temple Academy (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers (Chatham, VA) in a VISAA Division 2 bout, on Monday, November 14. Virginia Prep Sports Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
