In Friday's non-league game, the St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) football team knocked off the visiting Haverhill Hillies (Haverhill, MA), by a final score of 27-7.
The Pioneers (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Malden Catholic (Malden, MA). The Lancers come into the Catholic game with a 0-10 record. In their last game, Malden Catholic was dropped by Lawrence (Lawrence, MA), 42-14, in a non-league game.
The Hillies now hold a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lowell for a Merrimack Valley - Division 1 game on Thursday, November 24. Haverhill will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, MA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-6.
