The Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX) basketball nipped the host Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), 47-43 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hale Center for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 7. Littlefield will meet a Owls team coming off a 55-34 non-league win over Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX). The Owls record now stands at 1-0.
The Matadors (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Monterey was nudged by South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX), 51-46, in a non-league contest.
