The Pomfret School Griffins soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Cheshire Academy Cats to 0 in the Griffins league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Griffins face the Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA) in a NEPSAC Freelance contest, on Wednesday, November 8. Pomfret School will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Penguins enter the contest with a 5-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Northfield Mount Hermon (Mount Hermon, MA).

The Cats now have a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Kingswood Oxford for a non-league contest on Monday, November 6. Cheshire Academy will face a Wyverns team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Wilbraham, MA). The Wyverns record now stands at 8-4.
