Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) and the host North Side Gators (Shelby, MS), saw South Pontotoc's basketball squad wallop North Side by a tally of 56-17.

With the victory, South Pontotoc improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ingomar (New Albany, MS) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 8. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Ingomar won 63-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Pine Grove (Ripley, MS)

Next up, the Gators confront the McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 29. North Side will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
