Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ) and the visiting East Orange Campus Jaguars (East Orange, NJ), observed Union City's volleyball team hold off East Orange Campus by a count of 3-2.
The Soaring Eagles (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ). The Stateliners enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Phillipsburg tipped Columbia (Maplewood, NJ), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Jaguars now own a 11-7 record.
