Mississippi High School Basketball - Northwest Rankin can't hold off Neshoba Central

November 6, 2025: Philadelphia, MS 39350

The Neshoba Central Rockets nipped the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 68-63 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Rockets face the Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, November 11. Neshoba Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 58-47 non-league win over Meridian (Meridian, MS).

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Callaway (Jackson, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Callaway was edged by Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS), 57-56, in a non-league game.
