Salem Greyhounds (Salem, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Highland Rebels (Hardy, AR), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Salem upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Mammoth Spring (Mammoth Spring, AR) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Rebels play the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 16. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 54-41 non-league win over Harding Academy (Searcy, AR).
