In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Conrad Chargers basketball team scored a close 39-37 triumph over the Samuell Spartans.

The Chargers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Dallas, TX). The Patriots go into the 5A Region II District 13 contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was tipped by Pinkston (Dallas, TX), 65-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Crandall Pirates (Crandall, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 12. Samuell will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 65-36 non-league loss to Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX).
