Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS), 60-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Mendenhall lost 56-37 in their recent non-league bout against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Sylva Bay Academy Saints (Bay Springs, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, November 11. Northeast Jones will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Saints enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 62-41 non-league win over Mt. Salus Christian (Clinton, MS).
