Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fairview Panthers (Grant, LA), 56-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hackberry upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Lacassine (Lacassine, LA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Oak Hill Rams (Hineston, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 10. Fairview will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 73-37 non-league loss to Plainview (Glenmora, LA).
