Mississippi High School Basketball - Callaway can't hold off Holmes County Central

The Callaway Chargers basketball team (Jackson, MS), was nudged 46-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Holmes County Central Jaguars (Lexington, MS)

The Jaguars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Germantown for a non-league battle on Saturday, November 11. Holmes County Central will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 64-15 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-0.

The Chargers (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Hillcrest edged Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL), 64-35, in a non-league battle.
