Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN), 46-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Charlestown upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Pirates host North Harrison (Ramsey, IN) to clash with the Cougars in a Mid-Southern bout on Saturday, November 11. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-2. North Harrison lost 62-56 in their recent non-league bout against Charlestown (Charlestown, IN)

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the Scottsburg Warriors (Scottsburg, IN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 16. Floyd Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 68-26 non-league win over New Washington (New Washington, IN).
