In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Newton Rams basketball team scored a close 62-60 triumph over the McEachern Indians.
The Rams (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Alcovy (Covington, GA). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Alcovy nipped Washington (Atlanta, GA), 72-30, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Indians confront the Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 15. McEachern will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
