Connecticut High School Football - New London tops Fitch

November 9, 2024: Groton, CT 06340

The New London Whalers football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Fitch Falcons to 7 in the Whalers league triumph on Saturday.

The Whalers now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Killingly for a Eastern Connecticut I test on Friday, November 15. New London will meet a Redmen squad coming off a 53-13 league win over Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 8-0.

With the defeat, Fitch drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Stonington (Stonington, CT) to meet the Bears in a non-league test on Friday, November 15. The Bears come into the test with a record of 7-2. Stonington won 44-12 in their recent non-league test against Griswold (Griswold, CT)
