In Saturday's non-league contest, the host St. John Paul II Falcons basketball team scored a close 52-49 win over the New Hope Indians.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Asbury Rams (Albertville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 12. New Hope will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
