Odem Owls (Odem, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Odem upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Owls travel to Lasara (Lasara, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Lasara won 57-36 in their recent non-league bout against Macedonian Christian (Alamo, TX)

Next up, the Coyotes play the La Villa Cardinals (La Villa, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Alice will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 68-47 non-league loss to Progreso (Progreso, TX).
