The Animas Panthers basketball team (Animas, NM), was routed 70-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM)
The Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cliff for a non-league battle on Friday, December 2. Cloudcroft will battle a Cowboys/Cowgirls team coming off a 68-20 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ). The Cowboys/Cowgirls record now stands at 3-0.
The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mountainair (Mountainair, NM). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Mountainair was routed by Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM), 71-35, in a non-league battle.
