Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cypress Creek Coyotes (Wesley Chapel, FL), 55-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Berkeley Prep upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Buccaneers host Houston Academy (Dothan, AL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-0.

Next up, the Coyotes clash with the Wesley Chapel Wildcats (Wesley Chapel, FL) in a 5A District 6 bout, on Friday, December 2. Cypress Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 77-55 non-league win over Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL).
