Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), 57-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cape Fear Academy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Hurricanes host Northwood Temple Academy (Fayetteville, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Northwood Temple Academy won 76-64 in their recent non-league bout against Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. West Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Vikings go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 54-41 non-league loss to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC).
