Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Council Lumberjacks (Council, ID) and the visiting Notus Pirates (Notus, ID), saw Council's basketball squad knock off Notus by a tally of 55-47.

With the victory, Council improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Cascade (Cascade, ID) to play the Ramblers in a 1A Long Pin challenge on Wednesday, December 7. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Pirates play the Murtaugh Red Devils (Murtaugh, ID) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. Notus will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 44-40 non-league win over Liberty Charter (Nampa, ID).
