North Carolina High School Basketball - Mallard Creek edges Independence

December 1, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28269

In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 52-46.

The Mavericks (3-2) will now prepare for their outing against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Robinson got by Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 67-43, in a non-league outing.

The Patriots now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hopewell for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. Independence will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 58-49 non-league loss to Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Titans record now stands at 3-1.
