Texas High School Basketball - Nixon trounces Mercedes

The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball crushed the host Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX), 96-50 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Buffaloes go into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Clemens walloped Bishop (Bishop, TX), 78-49, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop for a non-league test on Friday, December 2. Mercedes will encounter a Badgers squad coming off a 78-49 non-league loss to Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 4-3.
