Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM), 66-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sandia upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Matadors travel to Highland (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Highland lost 63-16 in their recent non-league bout against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Atrisco Heritage Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 63-35 non-league win over Manzano (Albuquerque, NM).
