Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Akron Tigers (Akron, NY), 35-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alden upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Royalton-Hartland (Middleport, NY) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Royalton-Hartland lost 42-26 in their recent non-league bout against Webber (Lyndonville, NY)

Next up, the Tigers play the Kenmore East Bulldogs (Tonawanda, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Akron will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
