The Elk Grove Grenadiers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Leyden Eagles to 25 in the Grenadiers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Grenadiers now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wheeling for a Mid-Suburban - East contest on Friday, December 2. Elk Grove will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 42-32 non-league loss to Round Lake (Round Lake, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-8.

The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL). The Mustangs enter the West Suburban - Gold contest with a 3-4 record.
