Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL), 46-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elmwood upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Trojans host Havana (Havana, IL) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Havana won 50-30 in their recent non-league bout against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL)

Next up, the Cougars play the Illini Bluffs Tigers (Glasford, IL) in a Tomahawk bout, on Saturday, December 3. ROWVA/Williamsfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 50-12 non-league win over Stark County (Toulon, IL).
