South St. Paul Packers (South St. Paul, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN), 70-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South St. Paul upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Packers host Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Hill-Murray won 64-35 in their recent non-league bout against Kennedy (Bloomington, MN)

Next up, the Vikings play the Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN) in a AAA Section 7 bout, on Friday, December 2. North Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Hunters go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 55-40 non-league win over Kelley (Silver Bay, MN).
