Southwest Wildcats (Ludlow, MO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Orrick Bearcats (Orrick, MO), 35-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Southwest upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Hardin-Central (Hardin, MO) to play the Bulldogs in a CLAA bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Hardin-Central won 41-27 in their recent non-league bout against Tri-County (Jamesport, MO)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Santa Fe Chiefs (Alma, MO) in a I-70 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Orrick will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
