Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 49-13 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Owen upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Warhorses host McDowell (Marion, NC) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 4-0. McDowell won 48-34 in their recent non-league bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 55-15 non-league win over R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).
