Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 42-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwood upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Chargers host Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Chatham Central won 60-34 in their recent non-league bout against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Apex will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 23-15 non-league loss to Cary (Cary, NC).
