Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL), 49-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pittsfield upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Saukees host West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 6-0. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] won 58-33 in their recent league bout against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL)

Next up, the Suns play the Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL) in a West Central bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Augusta Southeastern will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 37-30 league loss to Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL).
