Belleville Wildcats (Belleville, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cuba City Cubans (Cuba City, WI), 66-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Belleville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Scales Mound (Scales Mound, IL) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Scales Mound won 50-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Shullsburg (Shullsburg, WI)

Next up, the Cubans confront the Darlington Redbirds (Darlington, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Cuba City will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
