The Columbus Sailors basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host East Marshall Mustangs to 67 in the Sailors non-league victory on Friday.

The Sailors now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aplington-Parkersburg for a North Iowa Cedar - East contest on Tuesday, December 5. Columbus will battle a Falcons team coming off a 58-53 non-league win over Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-0.

The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Lynnville-Sully edged H-L-V (Victor, IA), 57-29, in a league contest.
