Kaufman Lions (Kaufman, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 48-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kaufman upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Lions host Crandall (Crandall, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Crandall lost 54-50 in their recent non-league bout against Chapin (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Cadets play the Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Connally will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 59-48 non-league loss to Braswell (Little Elm, TX).
