Iowa City West Trojans (Iowa City, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA), 68-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Iowa City West upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Trojans host Liberty (North Liberty, IA) to play the Lightning in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Lightning come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Falcons play the Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Davenport West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The River Kings come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 70-45 non-league loss to Hempstead (Dubuque, IA).
