Lakeland Lakers (LaGrange, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fremont Eagles (Fremont, IN), 89-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lakers travel to Fairfield (Goshen, IN) to play the Falcons in a Northeast Corner bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Fairfield won 63-29 in their recent league bout against Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN) in a Northeast Corner bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Fremont will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Railroaders go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 46-26 non-league win over Lakewood Park Christian (Auburn, IN).
