Gaston Greyhounds (Gaston, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR), 54-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gaston upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Warrenton (Warrenton, OR) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Warrenton lost 55-40 in their recent non-league bout against Knappa (Astoria, OR)

Next up, the Spartans play the Oregon School for the Deaf Panthers (Salem, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Sheridan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 62-18 non-league loss to Washington School for the Deaf (Vancouver, WA).
