St. James Saints (St. James, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman Jaguars (Granada, MN), 84-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. James upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Saints host Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN) to play the Cardinals in a AA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Madelia Blackhawks (Madelia, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
