Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jefferson Area Falcons (Jefferson, OH), 71-70 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pymatuning Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Bristol (Bristolville, OH) to play the Panthers in a Northeastern bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Bristol won 62-40 in their recent non-league bout against McDonald (McDonald, OH)

Next up, the Falcons play the Benedictine Bengals (Cleveland, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Jefferson Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bengals come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 61-46 non-league win over John Marshall (Cleveland, OH).
