Silver Lake Eagles (Silver Lake, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS), 68-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Silver Lake upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Council Grove (Council Grove, KS) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Council Grove lost 60-50 in their recent non-league bout against West Franklin (Pomona, KS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Jefferson West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 68-57 non-league win over Jackson Heights (Holton, KS).
