The Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) basketball crushed the host Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA), 79-40 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Riverside walloped Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA), 49-26, in a non-league test.

The Spartan now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Wilmington for a non-league test on Saturday, December 2. Laurel will encounter a Greyhounds squad coming off a 49-26 non-league loss to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-1.
