The Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX), 56-54 in Friday's non-league test.

The Tigers (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Celeste was tipped by Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX), 50-35, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Farmersville for a non-league test on Friday, December 1. Rains will encounter a Farmers squad coming off a 66-49 non-league loss to Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX). The Farmers record now stands at 1-4.
