Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Williams Vikings (Williams, AZ), 56-18 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Needles upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Laughlin (Laughlin, NV) to play the Cougars in a 2A Southern bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Laughlin lost 50-43 in their recent non-league bout against Sandy Valley (Sandy Valley, NV)

Next up, the Vikings play the El Capitan/Centennial Academy (Colorado City, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Williams will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 51-38 non-league win over Williams (Williams, AZ).
