The West Union Eagles basketball team (Myrtle, MS), was nudged 82-75 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS)
The Red Raiders now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tishomingo County for a 4A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, December 5. Shannon will battle a Braves team coming off a 50-44 non-league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Braves record now stands at 1-4.
The Eagles (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Saltillo edged Mantachie (Mantachie, MS), 75-58, in a non-league battle.
