West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA), 84-82 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Middlesex upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Big Reds travel to Meadville (Meadville, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Rockets play the General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Slippery Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 68-37 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, PA).
