The Western Yell County Wolverines (Havana, AR) basketball nipped the host Union Christian Academy Eagles (Fort Smith, AR), 60-58 in Friday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Hector (Hector, AR). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region 4 test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Hector was tipped by Atkins (Atkins, AR), 52-49, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hackett for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Union Christian Academy will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 53-36 league loss to Charleston (Charleston, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 5-2.
